Glen Celcer, eighty-eight, of Healdton, Oklahoma, passed from this life January 10, 2007, at Healdton. He was born October 14, 1918, in Tipton, Oklahoma, to Odus and Rintha Neely Celcer. He grew up and went to school in Hoyt, Texas. He served his country in the Army during World War II and worked in the oilfield as a truck driver. Glen was married to Bonnie Elizabeth Shull at Kinta, Oklahoma, June 15, 1940. They made their home in the Fox/Healdton area after moving there from Oklahoma City in 1954.
Mr. Celcer was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters, and two grandsons - Larry Hurst and Charley Celcer.
Survivors include: his wife Liz Celcer of the home in Healdton, OK; two sons - Charles A. Celcer and his wife Gay of Ardmore, OK, and Glen R. Celcer and his wife Terry of Fayetteville, NC; two daughters - Treva K. and her husband Eric Gage of Healdton, OK, and Nora Gail Celcer of Tulsa, OK; one brother - Loyd Doc Celcer and his wife June of Eufala, OK; nine grandchildren - Melissa and her husband Tim Landrum of Texas, Lee Charles Celcer and his wife Windy of Michigan, Patrick Celcer and his wife Tina of Texas, Cassie Chase of Indiana, Gary Glen Celcer and his wife Niko of Florida, Ryan and Chad Celcer, both of North Carolina, Michael Hurst of Lone Grove, OK, and Bradley Hurst of Healdton, OK; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Celcer were at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2007, at the Spivey Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton, Oklahoma, with Bro. Roger Sims officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Olive Cemetery under the direction of Spivey Funeral Home of Healdton. Pallbearers were Michael Hurst, Lee Charles Celcer, Bradley Hurst, Tom Worsham, Patrick Celcer, and Jim Mumford.
